“This Record Belongs To You, Mr. President” Part 1

I was reading an article at The Hill, “Obama Puts Bully In Bully Pulpit,” and looked at the comments at the bottom.I came across an exchange that was impressive, especially the response by reader Wesley69 to someone who essentially claimed Obama was not at fault for anything.

To put it mildly, Wesley69 took umbrage at this. The comment was so good at enumerating the many, many actions for which Obama is responsible, I want to share it with you (since this commenter didn’t supply a link, and a Google check did not bring up this list, my impression is that this person crafted this list. If anyone finds out differently, please let me know so I can give credit where credit is due.). Again, this is from the Comments section at The Hill’s, “Obama Puts Bully In Bully Pulpit,” and was provided by wesley69:

*After your $1 trillion Stimulus, did not turn the economy around, nor drop the unemployment rate as you claimed, the current state of the economy belongs to you.

*Your screwed up plans such as the cash for clunkers, the mortgage rescue plan that have failed to provide the relief you claimed they would give belongs to you.

*Your bailouts of the automobile industry, with taxpayer money, getting the US involved in government ownership, then selling its shares at a huge loss belongs to you.

*The fact that Chrysler’s Volt, the hybrid electric-electric car produced with the help of the Stimulus money costs $100,000 and there was so little demand for the car, it had to stop production belongs to you, Mr. President.

*The fact that in bailing out the auto industry, you made sure the pensions and benefits of the unions were taken care of first before the private bondholders as is legal practice and then demonized them as greedy belongs to you.

*Because of your green energy , anti-oil, gas, coal policies that have lead to high fuel prices, this belong to you.

*The shutdown of drilling in the Gulf and the fact that some of those drilling platforms have left the Gulf belongs to you.

*The slow permitting process for resuming drilling in the Gulf despite the rising cost of oil belongs to you.

*The blockage by your administration of the Keystone Pipeline from the tar sands of Canada into the US belongs to you.

*The money sent to Brazil to help them drill off their coast in waters deeper than the Gulf belongs to you.

*Your demand that Congress pass Cap & Trade legislation that would drastically increase energy prices for everyone here; which would require industry to buy carbon credits to offset pollution; all in the name of global warming belongs to you.

*Despite the fact that China and India will be burning coal and other carbon based fuels, since you did not get your way on Cap & Trade, you are using the EPA to put those ideas into executive regulations in an attempt to end run Congress belongs to you.

*While other countries tap their own resources, yet because of environmental restrictions, we can not and therefore depend upon imports to buy them belongs to you.

*The tapping of the Strategic National Petroleum Reserve, supposedly saved for national emergencies, but is now being used for reelection purposes, belongs to you.

*Currently the US has increased domestic production of oil and lowered imports, however, such increases are on private lands not public lands, where it has actually decreased belongs to you, Mr. President. Your taking credit for these things is an example of just how truthful you are.

*The huge “official” unemployment numbers, of 8.2% belongs to you.

*The increased number of people on food stamps belongs to you.

*The lack of business investment because of your anti-business attitude and regulations belongs to you.

*The decline in housing values belongs to you.

*The fact that today the government spends 4.1 billion a day compared to Bush and the Republicans, 1.5 billion, this higher spending level belongs to you.

*The higher federal debt, its continued rise ($1 trillion addition of the Stimulus alone) belongs to you.

*The federal debt, while it increased under Bush by $4.9 trillion, in eight years, it has increased $4 trillion in 3+ years belongs to you.

*The debt crisis, where you have offered no plan, and still offer no serious debt reduction ideas, the threatened default belongs to you.

*The fanatical desire to tax the “evil” rich and demand they pay their fair share, though they already bear much of the tax burden, your continued comments that stimulate class warfare belong to you.

*During the debate over lifting the national debt limit, your threat to push Granny off a cliff by making threats about checks being suspended or delayed belongs to you.

*The regulations, more still coming down the pipe, that restrict business belongs to you.

*The endemic growth of the economy belongs to you.

This two, Sir, must stand alone.

*The decline in the value of the dollar due to the Fed’s quantitative easing, that is fueling the rise in prices of food, gasoline belongs to you.

The coming hyperinflation, particularly if there is are other rounds of quantitative easing, belongs to you. Isn’t it a good thing, Mr. President, that the common folk have not made the connection between these policies and a declining dollar. Your policies, instead of giving everyone a tax cut are, in fact, giving everyone a wage cut.

*The corrupting influence of George Soros in US policy, which you have allowed, belongs to you.

*The creation of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform bill, the Consumer Protection Agency that will be under the FED and its budget will not be subject to review or cuts by Congress making its independent and with vast rule-making authority in consumer finance belongs to you.

*The unions trying to force card check on industry and deny workers a voice in whether they want to belong to a union or not, belongs to you.

*The fact that you said yours would be the most transparent of administrations, that it would be a break from Bush practices , that in truth, was a total deception belongs to you.

*The demonizing of your enemies, be they corporations, investors, political opponents, or even the Supreme Court and Congress to achieve your own political objectives belongs to you.

*The use of Czars who do not answer to Congress, but only to you; that they exercise such power such as Cass Sunstein, your Regulatory Czar, belongs to you.

*The appointment of Van Jones, a self-proclaimed Communist and 9-11 truthers as Green Czar, belongs to you.

*The appointment of Jeff Immelt, CEO of General Electric to your Jobs Council to find ways to lower the high levels of unemployment is most interesting. Rather than create opportunities here, he directed his GE to invest $2 billion in China, transferring an entire manufacturing division and its jobs out of this country. Nor did you see this action by your Job Czar as hypocritical. While you has been demonizing the “evil rich” and the need for them to pay their “fair share,“ GE made over $51 billion in the United States, yet paid no income tax in 2010. Don’t tell, evil George made you do it again.

*The fact that bills such as ObamaCare & the Stimulus were rushed through Congress where its members had the time to read through over 1000 pages belongs to you.

*The fact that under your ObamaCare mandate people must buy insurance or face a fine eliminating a person’s right of choice belongs to you.

*Despite your claims, the Congressional Budget Office determined that ObamaCare will cost double your estimate, possibly more. This is your baby, Mr. President.

*You claimed ObamaCare would reduce the cost of insurance programs currently offered; that it will would not lead to rationing of health care to the disadvantage of the elderly; that people could can keep their current health insurance. Private insurance plans have gone up, rationing is already under discussion and people may not have that option of keeping their existing policies, as thirty percent of employers plan to drop their employee’s health coverage due to this law. All of these misrepresentations and lies belongs to you.

*The socialist takeover of one-sixth of the economy by way of ObamaCare and the coming destruction of private health insurers belongs to you.

*The coming decline in the number of doctors administering to the public due to ObamaCare belongs to you.

*With the enactment of ObamaCare, your Department of Health and Human Services demanded that religious institutions pay for birth control and abortion drugs coverage for their employees. By doing this, this administration is demanding that the church and its membership bow to Caesar, despite the teachings of their church, which consider such services as an abomination. This attack on religion belongs to you.

Holy smokes. Believe it or not, but there is more to wesley69′s list of Obama’s “accomplishments.” Stay tuned, they will be up tomorrow!

    Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Rev. Amy. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone lay all Barry’s “accomplishments” out like that, one after other other in comments before. An obot would be hard pressed to be able to argue all this, but of course I know one that would try…our annoyance in common called Scottymac.

        I dont see how Romney can pick anyone other than a “hispanic” – although I really hate hyphenated Americans, the entire hyphenated thing just doesnt sit right with me AT ALL.

        Hispanic, invented by Nixon to “counter” the black vote, because an ethnic european person from Buenos Aires is exactly like a native mayan from Belize who speaks English and Mayan or a Cuban of mixed ancestry who came here as a refugee.     Wesley69 is only saying what we’ve all been saying for years and all we mainly get is obamabot talking points, MSM lies and coverups, and assertions about how stupid those of us are for criticizing That One and actually thinking for ourselves.

    I am becoming more and more discouraged every day because it seems to only be getting worse because those who are against That One continue to bicker among themselves as to whom is more conservative. We’ve actually lost commenters HERE over this silly-ass issue because it would appear that there is only one way to beat That One and that is candidate “X”. To those who left the site because of this silliness and to those who flag comments, “thumbs-down” I say give us an alternative between Romney and the squatter in the White House.

    Don’t have one? Then stop the bullshit and get with the program. We have a job to do with the candidate we have. Let’s just get it done, damn it.

The only reason this particular commenter stood out was the combined list of everything that has been going on over the past 3+ yrs in one place (and there are more that are not on here). The rest will be up tomorrow, but I hear you, Ferd – those of us who have been paying attention from the beginning are well aware of what Obama and his minions have been doing to this nation all along…

      And yeah, it is sad that people cannot see the forest for the trees sometime. The MOST important thing is to get Obama out of the White House come January, 2013, and we have a pretty decent option in Romney (even if someone HATES him, he HAS to be better than Obama – his ideology is far more one of American Exceptionalism, so that alone is a 180 from Obama. Reason enough to vote for him, if he is the nominee.). Well I ever wholeheartedly support someone like I did Hillary? Not likely, unless Sarah Palin or some of these other outstanding women like Rep. McMorris Rodgers, or one of the other governors run, but still – this nation cannot take another 4 yrs of Obama. We just cannot.

    Ms. Hill, an associate attorney at Genova, Burns & Giantomasi Attorneys in Newark, told the judge that Barack Obama’s birth certificate is such a poor forgery that it should be thrown out as evidence.
