How cool is this story.
Tanner is a golden retriever who, due to cataracts, is blind in both eyes and suffers from a seizure disorder that causes him to lose control of his body (including his bladder and bowels), sometimes several times a night. Because of this, his owner was forced to give him up to a clinic where vets often suggested putting him down.
But, wait! A happy twist!….
Nice to see a happy story. what’s on your mind tonight? Let loose, share what you will.
Gosh I love that story. Speaking of labs, I saw this cute video of a lab guarding his owner’s bike. It made me smile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvOLt06ZLDo&feature=player_embedded
If God has a dog, it’s a Lab.
We still miss ours, who passed on at age 16, several years ago. There’ll never be another like her!
Thanks Kat, for the post!
I’m glad you liked the post; Labs are wonderful, gentle sweet souls. I know you still miss your baby. I like to believe when my time comes, my four legged family will help guide me to my next destination; god willing.
Kat—what a sweet sentiment..I know there are doggies in Heaven!
Wow what a story! Thanks Kat! And yes cindyindie Labs are just wonderful and clearly yours was well cared for 16 is a good long life for one I understand.
Thanks HC123—we did care for our Lab, Faye Precious, as if she were another daughter; in fact, she and our daughter sorta “grew up” together. Sometimes I’ve used her photo as my avatar..
I swear, there’s nothin’ like a Lab! (our current dog, Blue, is looking over my shoulder—-luckily, he can’t read! he’s not a Lab but he’s a sweetie
I know how you feel. My Molly has just finished getting her teeth cleaned and two lumps removed and now she is wearing one of those embarrassing collars. I got tired of her bumping into things so I made one out of an old straw hat. Just cut the middle part out and bingo….a collar. Of course we will both catch Hell when my wife looks for her gardening hat……..Oh well
so funny, Harp! You are brave and ingenious LOL…..And aren’t those Elizabethan collars hilarious??….But your makeshift one sounds fetching (pardon the pun)
Heartbreaking story of the terminally ill boy, 12, who became a Marine (and had an honour guard at the hospital on the night he died)

Beautiful and sad Harp; but we cannot lose our compassion or our ability to cry for others. It is just as important as any other thing we do as human beings. Thank you for touching my heart.
Good morning Friends.I love that Video thanks for sharing Kat.
Let loose, huh? I’ve been having a snicker about the May Day Mahem in Seattle. It was such pointless violence and destruction, even ultra liberals were praying for some police brutality. Seriously, even us bleeding hearts are angry at the cops for ….NOT throwing anybody on the ground and tasering the crap out of them. It was an epic public relations fail on the part of the protesters.
The Mayor, who is a huge Occupy fan, had his home vandalized and his windows smashed in the middle of the night. Suddenly he’s a big fan of individual property rights, too. It’s kind of funny.
da’ mayor will live and learn. Peaful protest? Sure thing. the OWS crap? Not.

A cartoon of how Obama hearts wimminz, and Romney/Ryan hates them. As a cartoon timeline. No, really. A cartoon clicky timeline.
At 3 mean Mr.Romney/Ryan (?!) steals her Headstart. That program that has almost no correlation to later academic performance.
At 22 Mr. Romney/Ryan denies her surgery. Whoever this Mr. Romney/Ryan is, he clearly hates women. Especially women named Julia.
In her 20s and 30s Julia sues her employer using Ledbetter (which Mr. Romney has neither confirmed nor denied he would have signed, because he hates women) and makes various vague “choices” about her “health”. Whatever “health choices” it may be. Hmmm. I wonder what “health choices” this healthy young 20 something woman is making, with the help of Mr. Obama. Hmmm. Nope, I am stumped. But I am sure the very bad Mr. Romney/Ryan would put a stop to all this good health choice making. The cartoon says so!
At 42 Julia loses her girlish ponytail and starts a business with the help of Obama and federal grants and loans. Because who really needs customers? Fed loans are enough! Meanwhile the mean Mr. Romney/Ryan would make Julia find customers. What a jerk!
And at 67 Mr. Romney (himself this time, Mr. Ryan must have had scheduling difficulties) throws her off a cliff – meanwhile Mr. Obama allows her to do organic community gardening for the rest of her days. Aw, what a guy.
hc123—-Shouldn’t they be playing “Sunrise, Sunset” as background music for the cartoon…..teehee
Oh, the horrors! It makes me wonder how any of us helpless Americans (especially women) could have survived without the cradle-to-grave Progressive nanny-state to take care of us.
Some of the tweets about Julia today are comedy gold. I’ve been spitting coffee all over myself reading them.
“Julia gets pregnant and Obama gives her free prenatal care. Mitt steals her shoes and makes her walk barefoot in the snow.”
“Obama performs life saving surgery on Julia. Mitt sneaks in and steals her kidney.”
The story of the Labrador and the Golden Retriever is beautiful.
On to a more comical side, I thought you might enjoy this video from Andrea Shea King about our *resident, the lover boy. Actually I thought it was hilarious!
