There are a number of stories clamoring for attention today, but I have to start with this one. As I am sure you all recall, we heard, ad nauseum, how much money Obama made in 2008 from the “little people.” Never mind that the Obama Campaign did not bother to check where they lived, if they were US Citizens, what their occupations were or any of those other pesky campaign finance issues. Picky, picky, picky.

Well, they seem to have developed a NEW strategy to raise campaign funds this time around, and is it ever a doozy. From the Daily Caller:

President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign has hundreds of thousands of eager, low-dollar donors — and a tiny trickle of unwilling, defrauded donors.

The latest example comes from David Newman, who found a $15 charge, dated May 6, from the “Obama For America” campaign on one of his debit cards.

Newman had supported Obama in 2008, but “I didn’t sign up to say ‘Do this every three months or every three years when you need money,’” he told The Daily Caller.

“This is completely 100 percent unauthorized,” said Newman, an information technology specialist. The money has since been returned by Bank of America, and the debit card has been cancelled, he said.

Newman’s example follows the publication of two examples of small-scale fraud by Powerline, a conservative blog. For example, “Bill G” told Powerline that he had found a $10 charge to “Obama for America” a few weeks after someone had secretly changed his address in the bank’s database.[...] (Click here to read the rest of this tale of fraud, including that the Obama Campaign STILL does not require the little number from the back of the card.)


What the hell?? I guess people who were willing to give Obama money in 2008 and used any kind of card should keep a close eye on their bills. This is just incredible, not to mention ILLEGAL.

It begs the question: just what DOES it take for Obama to be held accountable? Seriously. I’d really like to know, because he seems to be getting away with all KINDS of illegal crap.

Speaking of getting away with illegal crap, the DOJ (you know, “Fast and Furious,” go after states with Supreme Court approved Voter ID, leave vote intimidaters alone, alleged law enforcers) is doing what it does best: go after people trying to uphold the law. The latest is one many of us saw coming (and h/t to Helenk for first mentioning this to me). And that would be this: the DOJ is going after Arizona sheriff, Joe Arpaio. Not to be a conspiracy theorist or anything, but I KNEW the Obama Administration was going to find a way to go after him for all of his work trying to determine, once and for all, if Obama’s presidency is legal (he claims Obama’s birth certificate is a forgery). It was only a matter of time before they went after him. I guess they figured two months was long enough to wait.

And for what is the DOJ going after Sheriff Arpaio? Allegedly for racial profiling and civil rights violations. As you might guess, Arpaio denies the charges.

Wow, how transparent can this Administration be? So vindictive. No wonder House members are so unhappy with the AG.

But he is not the only one with whom people are unhappy. Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) thinks the head of the TSA, John Pistole (h/t Helenk), has done a pretty poor job. He isn’t the only one, that’s for sure. I think many of us would concur that the TSA is run incredibly poorly, and infringes on our civil liberties routinely.Or how about this recent story from LA about TSA agents accepting bribes in a drug-smuggling operation. Yeah, I think Pistole should step down, and Congress should step up in curbing the authority of the TSA.

Ick. You know how much I dislike the TSA.

About Obama’s pandering to the LGBT community, and progressives, with his declaration that he, personally, supports same-sex marriage, as I noted yesterday, leaving it up to the States changes NOTHING. It doesn’t help one damn bit. It is a political move, plain and simple. I commend Hill Editor, AB Stoddard’s good piece on this issue.

I think we could all use something from the “This Is Just Freakin’ Cool” Department, Today marked the lighting of the Olympic Torch in Greece. This is an exquisite, elaborate ceremony, with the following capturing a few minutes of it (there are videos that are longer and show the entire thing). It is a beautiful, beautiful ceremony, and is one thing the Greeks do very well:

    Let me guess….barrycuda had no knowledge of what was going on. After all, he is busy hitting up the Hollywood crowd for more money and many will be glad to oblige to assuage their white guilt and to think they are cool and hip….doesn’t matter that overall America is in the toilet thanks to the bamboozling buffoon from Kenya… :) I guess it won’t be til no one is able to even afford a ticket to the movies that it will dawn on these vacuous obamarrhoids that maybe they made a mistake regarding whom they supported.

    If only we could fix stupidity!!

    “Somebody needs to be held accountable, and they need to pay.” says Ms. Adams, infamously. And we taxpayers did, providing her all her daily needs and a free 6 bedroom house. And now one of her offspring is going in a completely unexpected direction, having a run in with the police. I know, totally shocking right? I mean who could have seen that coming.

    Bets on her receiving a huge judgement against the Tampa PD?

    I am feeling about 35% – she doesnt perform well in court, and the cop her son attacked was female from what I read. But still – someone needs to pay! And shes a member of a designated victim group.

    If the cops are mostly white I will raise her chances to 42%. If the Al and Jessie crowds show up, I give her a 50% chance.

    Au contraire, mon ami, They have your card number and they speak for EVERYONE so they also speak for you and since money is speech, your money is theirs.

    You fell for it and they saw you coming. Word to the wise–write a check rather than use a credit or debit card and never, ever give money to a progressive because your money is theirs.

  11. He hasn’t put down the koolaid yet, so he still has empathy and exxcuses for someone who is not a leader and nver has been. Obama cheated his way to the top, bullying, plagerizing, stealing and blackmailing people; just becuase someone is able to beat people using dirty tricks does not mean they will end up being a good leader. Blind faith has and always will surely get you in trouble. A real leader knows their weaknesses and doesn’t use excuses or invents means to blame others, letalone create imaginary people to explain a life that is either plain and simple or dirty with bad behavior. A real leader admits his faults, learns from them and makes every effort not to harm anyone in the process. The real leader owns who they are, without shame or regret. Obama will never know what that is like, he doesn’t have the capacity as he hasn’t reached emotional adulthood yet.
