I don’t know about where you live, but where we are, we have been having a bunch of rainy days. A friend in Florida had pictures posted that showed his street now a creek, water covering it completely all the way above the sidewalks. Yikes.
And of course, rain turned the Kentucky Derby into the Kentucky Mud Hole, which made for some mighty dirty riders and horses by the time it was all said and done. No telling how many pairs of goggles the jockeys went through on THAT trip (they stack them one on top of the other, and yank them down as they ride around the track). What a mess. In the end, Orb was triumphant, winning by 2 1/2 lengths. That was quite an achievement considering how far back he was:
[...] “I was really far back,” Joel Rosario said. “I said hopefully he can go faster than that. I was saying maybe I was too far back, but it was so easy.”
